Welcome to the Edify Food CommunityFirstly, welcome and thank you so much for dropping by. It's great to have you here :) In this website you will find a stack of information on how to live a Low Carb/High Fat, or LCHF, lifestyle. We have included recipes, tips on how to get started, an entire library of articles, books to read, videos to watch and websites to visit. So whether you are wanting to lose weight or repair a damaged body, we hope you'll find everything you need to help you on your road to a much healthier you. ![]() The reason we built this site is to try and help others by sharing what we have learned about food and the food industry. What you'll read in the subsequent pages of this website will probably go against everything that you have been taught (or was it brain-washed?) to believe by the so-called "health authorities", but from our own personal experience, and those of both our friends and our families, the proof is in the pudding. For decades we have been taught to believe that a diet low in fat and high in carbohydrates is the healthiest way to keep our bodies trim, taut and terrific and ward off the evils of such chronic ills as Heart Disease. So why is it then that the Western World is currently facing an unprecedented amount of health-related problems that are making us incredibly sick? Problems such as heart disease, obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, Alzheimer's disease, cancer, allergies, intestinal issues, the list goes on. It is our firm belief that the majority of these problems can be reversed if we simply turn the current food pyramid on its head and change what we eat from a high carb/low fat diet to a low carb/high fat diet with an emphasis on REAL food cooked from scratch. We also hope that you will, once again, or maybe even for the very first time, enjoy the guilt-free taste of REAL food. Beautiful foods like grass-fed butter, full-cream jersey milk, the skin on a roasted chicken that's been baking in its own fat, the crispy pork crackling, double cream, because guess what? Saturated fat doesn't actually make you fat! Carbs are what will do that, and they'll also leave you constantly hungry and wanting to eat more. Saturated fats makes you full, healthy and satiated for hours on end. You've only got to compare a breakfast of cereal to a breakfast of a 2 egg, bacon, cream and vegetable omelette. Give it a try and see for yourself. We hope you and your family find this website beneficial. It was, and will continue to be, a labour of love that we will build upon as we collect more information, recipes .. and time :) And if you have a question please don't hesitate to pop us an email on info@edify.net.au and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
This is not just about weight loss, it's about being healthy on the inside.
This is not a fad diet. This is a way of life. ` |
